At the check out point in the supermarket today, I noticed plastic boxes used instead of plastic bags to carry the shopping in. At £1 a box, it’s a very good investment as they can be reused many times, and will most defiantly be a step forward in reducing the waste in landfills, many of which are plastic bags.
I personally have made a start and purchased two boxes, and I found to be much easier to carry then carrier bags.
It would be great if one by one we could change our old habits and notice the problems we are causing subconsciously.
=)

in india many cities have established laws to abandon the use of plastic bags in shops because the one who offers them and the one who uses them will be fined. with this many people abide to it. though the government is blamed for almost all the reasond of pollution and global warming it is us who are responsible in some way or the other.
it is indeed very innovative idea to use plastic boxes and very observent of you to notiice it
i know that marks and spencers and waitrose have these boxes you can buy and put all your shopping in there. i really like it because it fits in the car much better and none of my shopping gets squashed.
i think everyone should buy them.
